Catching Up

Been a while since my last entry. Just got back from Kikis softball practice. She is fun to watch.
Such a girl :)

No new news on Pops yet. Still waiting for biopsy results. This is tough to wait out.

Finally got the MY new computer. It's taken me a few days to get set the way I want it. Now just to figure out how to set up my office.

Joel played baseball last night. At Kewaskum. First loss of the season. 6-12. Gave up 5 runs in the first innning and never made that up.

Joel went 1-2 with a walk, K, 1 rbi and 1 run.
pitching was good too. 3hits, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts, 2 r, 1 er in 2 1/3 inning pitched. Good to see him get a hit after last weeks 0-3. He's getting more confident all around. Hopefully it will carry through.

Let see what else? The beer looks good, still in primary fermentation. Have to replant more tomato and pepper plants as frost got them again. Ughh.

It's alive!

Well I finally got to brew my beer! Filthy Hobo Ale. Fat Tire Belgian/Pale ale clone. Do I look happy? Weather stayed good and the beer went really well.

Hello all you faithful readers. HAHAHAHAHA

Baseball last night a success. 12-8 Victory over Newburg.

Joel 0-3 3K, 0BB, 0R 0 RBI. Pitching line 2.1 ip, 1h 1r 0 er 4k I think I will jeep a tab of his season in a blog item in the layout.

Other than that Pops did not have any tests yesterday just some Dr visits and what to expect on Tuesday. Apparently there are 2 masses. One in each lung. I spoke with mom yesterday and she seemed up beat until the last few minutes of the call and broke down. Not the way I wanted that call to go. Maybe go over there for a BBQ or something on Monday.

I will be brewing beer tomorrow. I have to. I broke the yeast seal package this AM. Uggh now to clean and prep everything before we go to body works this afternoon.

Random Rambling - is that redundant?

Well today should get the long weekend off to a rolling start. A funeral. Then Joel's baseball game.

We will miss Roadtrip at Boltonville Raindays. I think Joel was more relieved as I told him he should play a song if they let him.

TV is fixed, Joel's computer is fixed. The bikes are tuned up.

I have to brew beer, otherwise it will be fall before I tap that.

Dad has his exploratory procedure in a few minutes. This has got to be killing my mom. I'm not much for prayer, but this is as good as any time to say one.

Pops

Got an email from Pop last night, the Xray that he went in for on his sinus infection showed a abnormality by/on his heart. CT sacn yesterday shows nothing wrong there but a small mass in his lung. Feeling pretty somber right now. My brother just called me too feels the same way. Keep our fingers crossed for the endoscopy dad will have tomorrow. See what this turns up.

Electronic Hell

In my electronic hell. I think the Amish are on to something. My router went out. My laptop delivery go delayed until June and then yesterday the bulb on the LCD projection TV went out. Oh yea the Sunroof in the Forester is having 'issues'. Sounds like a fun weekend of fixing coming up.

Baseball Monday

Baseball season started Monday. Kiki had practice at 5 to 6:30 and Joel had the first game of the season at 8:00.

Long lake. Have not beat them in 3 years. After the first inning it did not look like that would end.

Joel started at short and promptly had 4 chances and had two errors. 1st inning ended LL was up 5-0. Not a good start.

Joel pitched innings 3-4-5, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. The line score at the plate for JT: 1-2 2 BB, 1K, 2R. I kept the book but did not 'keep' the book to get the full stats.

Coming into the bottom half of the 5th it was LL 10, Farmington 4. That all changed as they hung 12 on the board and batted 15 in the inning. Long Lake got 3 back in the top of the 6th but Farmington sent another 11 men to bat and hung another crooked number on the board for a 23-13 lead. Ten run rule in effect, Long Lake was given their final at bat anyway for a final score of Farmington 23, Long lake 15 Time of game: 2:45. That's right not home until 11:30 on a school night.

Made some grilled cheese for a snack when we got home.

Today I am very tired. I can't imaging how Joel is.

Weekend in Review

Meant to do this yesterday. Still without my computer. It is supposed to ship tomorrow. I never realized how much stuff I do with it. Finance, car stuff, photo, videos, email, web, research oh and lets not forget blogging. I put service pack 3 on Joels computer and now it won't connect to anything. No Ipod, no printers. The computer woes in this house never end it seems.

Did quite a bit of yard work on Saturday. Almost all the planting is done. At least the beds were all turned over. 4 tomato varieties, cucumbers, green and hot peppers, beans, spinach and garlic round out the vegetable garden. Some rosemary, mint, parsley and basil for herbs.

The Schroeders had hus over for a Saturday night. Got home at 2 AM. Thanks for the apricot ale G!

Weekend is arriving

Yea, the weekend is here and again we will be busy. Although last night I was sitting around the house at 8:30 and was bored, or lazy could not really figure out what to do with myself.

We should get the gardens planted this weekend I hope. There is a chance of rain all weekend though. Still have to get Joel some baseball pants. Season starts Monday.

Also going to try to brew this weekend. My Fat Tire clone. Filthy Hobo Ale. It could be served at the Illegal Burrito? Only time will tell.

The Schroeder's have a 1/2 barrel of Pyramid Apricot ale on tap. Gonna hit that this weekend too!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers day to all you motha's :D

I woke up way too damn early, hit the Y, hit the grocery store, put down the weed and feed, took a shower, made some lunch, did some laundry and now will start to grill some pizzas.

Tracy, well she had to do her annual torture at McDonalds with her mom and sisters. Yeah, why she still does that is beyond me. I could make her a better breakfast and she would be less annoyed by the whole thing.

Look for Joels baseball schedule soon. I have it in my google calendar and just need to get out there for everyone to access.

Lost video - LOL

This is funny and embarrassing. I found this on the camcorder memory card when getting ready for the festivities this afternoon. I fell asleep at the Schroeder's house during our annual Xmas get together. I never snore, or so I thought. Enjoy!

Busy

Time get busy, finish work and clean the house... Kiki's got her first communion tomorrow and where I expected an intimate gathering of grandparents and godparents apparently my wife had other plans. Another birthday party sized gig. This sucks.

Took a few minutes for lunch to put the beer and soda in the fridge, POW, hit a can into the corner of the shelf and a beer fountain all inside the fridge. not a good start..
