Opening Day

MLB Opening Day. Brewers Win. Eric Gag-me blows the save, great start. My MLB Game day Audio did not work, again. I hope this is not a repeat of last year. Stuttering, locking up. Ugh.

Back to the basement

Cleaning the basement today. Jim came over with new basement drawing for this next job. Need to make room. We need a garage sale or a dumpster.

Just a picture of the Subie on stands, or blocks if this were the dirty south.

Shopping

Yep, We went shopping. All day. Made Tracy drive home to test the brakes. Kiki and I were scared.

Friday, finally

Its Friday. Tight schedule today. Work. Fix the brakes on the Subie. Watch the Badgers. Play some RB6II. I would push off the brakes until Saturday, but Tracy has informed me she will be using the birthday coupon. An entire day of shopping with no whining from me... Damn my birthday coupons!

RB6LV2

Well I finally got to play this damn game . Not bad since I pre ordered it and had it since last Thursday. I mean Joel has already beaten it with his cousin on co-op in a few sittings. It's fun, I like the ACES system and XP system to earn new things. I gotta get re- familiarized with the controllers, I keep trying to throw a grenade and instead turn on my thermal vision. DUH!

Tuesday

Tuesdays suck. On top of it I can't shake this minor headcold/cough. The weather is not helping. Here is a picture before we got the new 12" of snow. Baileys shrinking Island of snow.

Planes, buses and automobiles

Getting ready to board the 7:00 AM shuttle after some quick chow and coffee...

Surprise surprise a delay at the airport. Ehh.. I get on the plane and make it to Chicago. 1st floor parking at O'Hare is called Cubs Level. It looked funny on this sign as if they were in the basement or last place. Good stuff.

Get on the Wisconsin Coach line for $25.00 cash. Full bus. Many a weary Milwaukeans. Ride that though some construction traffic, a stop at the Brat Stop and Iron Skillet. Been a long time since I had been to the Brat Stop. Driving through the parking lot does not count.

Get to my car and start the drive home. I stopped and picked up Oakland Gyros to go. I am gonna be the hero on that call. Yummy. Oh yea home after a 16 hr delay.

Bailey loves me, he misses me or smells gyros, can't tell.

Not so good Friday

The day started well. Sunshine, no real early meetings, so I got some coffee and walked around midtown until my first meeting. (Chrysler Building from 42nd street? I don't remember). New York is a pretty cool place, just wish I had more time to sight see.

Had my meetings and a great lunch. Uneventful ride to La Guardia. That's where it went downhill. Milwaukee, Chicago and areas were pounded by snow. Get off the plane in Memphis (my connection) and find out there Milwaukee airport is closed. Time to play the re-booking game. My first and only option I heard was Sunday 8:00 am to Milwaukee, That means I stay the ENTIRE day in Memphis. Memphis is nice but not under duress. 2 more calls and some discussions with other stranded passengers. I snag and exit row seat at 8:30AM to O'Hare. It ain't Milwaukee but its close enough. I get to the hotel around 10:00 PM

Dinner consists of room service and 2 beers at 10:30 PM

Holy Thursday - otherwise known as the beginning of the NCAA tournament

Got yer brackets? Check. Got a spot on the couch? Not me. I am off to NY for some meetings Friday. So I will miss a lot of first round games, due to my travel schedule. I will update when I get back from NY when I get in with a nice picture or two.

Update - Delays getting into NYC due to winds. I catch the Marquette game in the MSP airport and get to my room with enough time to see the Badger game.

And it starts

Goofing around the last few days, I said "hey I need a blog". Not really, but it might be fun to try. Like most things I do, it will probably be forgot about or neglected when then next new shiny thing, hobby or ? comes along. Or probably even sooner. With summer approaching, I was thinking about tales of baseball coaching, vacations and other stuff that will happen, good, bad or otherwise. It probably wont be that interesting but may provide me with some cheap psychotherapy.
