Saturday deflation

Well we went to our last Brewer game of the year. Awesome club level seats. They lost. Down to the last game of the year for a possible playoff to the playoff.

Ok - It's Saturday - time for our final Brewers game of the year. Got quite a lot to talk about. Just no time to do it. Coming into the busiest month of the year.

I hope to start the bathroom soon. I will be in NYC next Thursday and Friday. When will I get this done.

I have not posted in a while. Not that I don't want to. I have a tequila induced manifesto of ramblings I did on Friday. really not sure If I will subject people to that mess.

Dad's about the same, Mom has good days and bad days.

Soups on

Hey I made my first pot of chicken noodle soup for the season. Seems early for that? I also had to mow my lawn for the first time in 5 weeks. All the rain and cool temps caused it to explode. I even had to sweep it. Ugh.

This last few weeks has also sapped much of my energy and any motivation I had. I really need to do the bathroom remodel soon or I am not doing it at all. It should not take more than 2 weekends. We will see.

Pop's made it home yesterday with little problem. He is set up pretty good at home. Mom said he had a good night. Let's all hope for more good nights.

It was nice to see him back home and I even got a smile and a chuckle out of him. I will visit during lunch this week. The family will have to wait until Saturday. Mom does not want late visitors. Says that's when Dad goes through some rougher times. If that's what she wants then that's all we can do.

Bittersweet

Today I am writing this from Mom and Dad's house. Waiting for the DME to arrive for Dad. He gets to come home from the hospital today. This is really going to be hard but I know Mom would not want it any other way. I think Jim, Jenny and everyone else feels the same.

I a have a lot I want to say, but really don't know how much energy I have to say it. This week has been a roller coaster for the entire family. Tuesday he did not look good at all, was back in ICU and we really weren't sure what to expect. He has bounced back, but Dad has not responded to treatment at all and it is being stopped. Chemo and radiation has not done anything to the tumor. In fact it grew. All this has been so hard on his body, his breathing is labored, he can't walk, he can't really talk and we all feel so helpless.

The next few weeks will be even tougher as we all know how this story ends, including Dad. The goal for the time being is to get him home, out of the hospital, and make time here the best we can.

Nothing New

I have not been able or actually had the ambition to blog lately.

Dad has gone through a lot in the last few days. ICU the last 2 days post surgery for his lung. Mom is having such a hard time with this whole ordeal. I guess who isn't /wouldn't.

Hopefully he can go home in a few days and they will alter his treatment. I just want to see him get up an move around. He looks so frustrated.

School Starts

School started on the hottest day of the year. Go figure. Excited faces for the first day.
