Not too often I can grill for Tracy's Birthday
This labyrinth we are puzzled by is nothing but a straight line, but sometimes those are even harder to navigate.

Happy Anniversary
Yep 4 years ago I started this blog. While getting ready for a trip to NYC. It's a bit coincidental that I am making this update from the road as well. In the twin cities for the week.
Not much to add except thanks to all those who take a little time to check and read this.
Cheers!

Level C Celebrity?
Well being a coach to the youth team had some up side. I got to play in the 1st annual Coaches Game. I say celebrity game because, yea you had to bring a food donation to get in.
48 minutes of basketball and I am ready to die. Pretty out of shape. But then there were few that weren't...
8 points for me and our team won 47-42.
That shirt is like the doctors pain chart for kids.

That's it....almost done. My first and last season of being the head coach of a youth basketball team. Did it go the way I wanted? probably not. Did it go the way I expected, definitely. So what does that say about me?
A lot of the same feelings when I stopped coaching baseball for Joel. Second guessing myself on a lot of things.
Although, this time, it's much easier to let go. I don't think Phil Jackson could have got any more wins out of this team. Watching scrimmage last night as a ref and coach it was easy to see. After all the nights of practice and drills the girls still don't run any play past one pass. This team is here for fun, although it would be nice to see some put a little more effort in to it, at the end of the day its a youth league.
Good luck in the tournament on Saturday and with the rest of your basketball careers, however far that you take them.
